Garforth football team circa 1914.

Garforth ex-pat Margaret Gill has sent us this photograph of Garforth football team taken circa 1914.
Her father Reg Townend is seated front row left.
Margaret said: "I think the man standing to his right may be his father Leonard Townend who I think was the coach but can't be certain. The player seated front row, 3rd left, may be Billy Oldfield.
"I thought someone in Garforth may recognise an ancestor. Reg was born in West Garforth in 1895 and emigrated from Swillington Common to Perth, Australia in 1950. He died here in 1965."
