Women's Football: Leeds United's cup win marred by captain's injury blow

But a goal from Doncaster deep into injury time took this absorbing Yorkshire derby to extra-time, which saw Katie Thompson win it with a stunning 25-yard strike.

Hide AdSharon Bates and Debbie Tomlinson put Brighouse 2-0 up with Wetherby then reduced to ten players after a penalty incident. However, Holly Fowler and Rachel Fowler pegged it back for 2-2 only for Sarah Hemingway to snatch a dramatic late win for Brighouse.
A pulsating First Division promotion clash ended 4-4 between Lower Hopton and Ripon City, with Becky Woollin (2), Dani Anthony and Ruby Marlow scoring for Lower Hopton, while Louise Wilson, Bethan Ratcliff and Georgie Taylor netted for Ripon who stay one point clear in first with a game in hand.
Elsewhere, First Division strugglers Boroughbridge grabbed a valuable 5-3 win against Dewsbury Rangers, while Republica Internationale beat a resilient Tyersal 4-1 through Talin Aghanian (2), Molly Asher and Jane Turner.
