Sam Allardyce reflects on 'avoidable' West Brom defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road

Allardyce's already-relegated Baggies began brightly but went 1-0 down when Rodrigo headed home Raphinha's vicious corner.
Kalvin Phillips then doubled United's advantage as his free-kick from the edge of the box bounced past keeper Sam Johnstone and Leeds added a third goal with a second half penalty.

Pressed on whether the scoreline had not reflected his side's performance and for his assessment of the game as a whole, Allardyce told BT Sport: "It's the same old same old unfortunately and particularly today because all three of Leeds' goals should have been avoided.
"We have got a performance in between but conceded off a corner and a free-kick which we covered yesterday in great detail.
"That's so disappointing after the start we have made and then the penalty probably summed it up for us in that no matter how many chances we had at the other end and there were quite a few, we weren't good enough, as always, as has been most of the problem this year, to convert them.

"You can't give away goals like we did and expect to win unfortunately."
