Kathy Briggs has been Bursar at Green Lane since 1982 and is now looking forward to enjoying a well deserved retirement with her family.

Staff and pupils presented her with a piano stool and an ipod amongst other gifts.

At the same time, Hazel Willis, who has been headteacher at Green Lane for the past 11 years, is leaving to take up a post as Advisor for North Yorkshire.

Mrs Willis received items of jewellery purchased from The China Cabinet on Garforth Main Street.

In addition to these gifts, the pupils presented them with a special souvenir album containing photographs, poems and messages of good luck.
