A teenager was slashed by a knife wielding thug at the new Garforth Skate Park.

The 19-year-oldwas treated in hospital and is understood to have had around 20 stitches in a wound following the attack at the park on Ninelands Lane at around 8pm on Friday, September 26.

Police arrested a man in his mid-20s after searching the area around the park soon after the incident.
