The community is being urged to turn out in force to support Garforth and District Lions Club's annual community gala.

The gala field opens at 11.30am with a car boot prior at 8.30am.
Attractions will include funfair, Garforth Community Steel Pans, childrens games and races, cheer leaders, Houghton-le-Springs Pipe Band, pet show, splat the rat, bouncy castle, Garforth Jubilee Brass Band, and childrens entertainment
The procession leaves Garforth Railway station car park at noon and is due to arrive at the gala field at 12.45pm.
The event will officially opened at 1pm with the crowning of Gala queen Lucy Colquhoun.
