Council bosses are being urged to send in workers to clean up an overgrown ginnel in Garforth.
Local councillor Mark Dobson (Lab, Garforth & Swillington) says the well-used route between Fairburn Drive and Green Lane Primary School is in a "terrible" state.

Councillor Dobson is now demanding that Leeds City Council changes it's policy on grass cutting in the ward.

He said: "The council maintained this land for 38 years and now, all of a sudden, when the private contracts came in they refuse to as it was never formally adopted when the estate was built. The same can be replicated in many pockets of grass and bush land in my ward that no longer gets a grass cut as the council have simply washed their hands of their responsibility."
