Garforth and District Lions president Mark Dobson stands down at the end of June.
He will be replaced by Garforth Lion Adrian Highfield.

Mark told Garforth Today he had "thoroughly enjoyed" his time as club president.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank my fellow Lions who have worked hard for me and made my term as President so enjoyable and hopefully successful for the people of Garforth and District.

"I have been particularly pleased that during my term we have diversified into areas such as organising a Diabetes Awareness Day in Garforth whilst working ever closer with our community partners."

"I was also delighted that the club made the short-list of the final thirteen groups in West Yorkshire for the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.

"I am sure we were a whisker away from winning and encourage my successor to try again next year."

He added: "Finally can I thank the people of Garforth and the surrounding villages who support us financially through what are very trying times, it was appreciated."
