When Garforth's Reg and Cora Pease threw a garden party to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary recently they asked friends and relatives not to buy them gifts but donate to a well know local charity instead. Click here for full details.
Reg, who used to run the Pease of Garforth DIY and hardware group, said: "After 60 years together we have everything we need."

Instead his son Kevin, who now manages the family business, suggested that donations be made to the Garforth and District Lions charity fund.

A regular supporter of the club, he said: "I knew my parents would like any monies raised to be used locally so Garforth Lions was an obvious choice."
