Rehearsals are now underway for Garforth Musical Society's Christmas pantomine. Click here for more details.
Scrooge is due to be staged at the Miners Welfare Hall on Main Street Garforth from Tuesday, December 4, through to Saturday, December 8.

Lynne Hill, membership secretary of Garforth Musical Society, said Garforth Today had helped the Society in its recent recruitment drive.

"We have gained a few extra members including the extra cratchet child that we were missing. We have also been approached by a student studying theatrical make-up, asking if she could have a placement with the society for experience and part of her course. We have agreed to let her come for as long as she needs."

Ms Hill revealed the Society were hoping its next production will be My Fair Lady.

"We have applied for the licence, and hope to be able to do it in April, starting rehearsals straight after Christmas."
