Garforth suffered a surprise defeat in the semi-final of the Kall-Kwik Cup, going down 3-2 to a battling performance by Harrogate.
Four of the five clashes went to five games, the match in the balance until the final encounter.

Harrogate's man of the moment was Martin Wickenden. His defeat of Alex Tate by a 10-8 margin in the fourth game captured Harrogate a place in the final.

Harrogate went into the clash as underdogs without some key players including Australian Kasey Brown.

Garforth were a tough nut to crack, urged on by a voiciferous band of supporters.

Harrogate's Tony Nowakowski aggravated a groin strain from a previous match but battled from behind to topple Neil Thackwray with two points to spare.

Harrogate meet Chapel Allerton in the final at Harrogate Squash Club on Monday, April 21 (7.30).
