United's 18-year-old reserve player will remain with the UniBond League Division One club until the beginning of October with a view to gaining first-team experience which is unlikely to come his way at Elland Road this season.

Hotchkiss, a former Sunderland youngster, is considered to be one of the most prominent talents at Thorp Arch and he won his first professional contract – a two-a-and-half year deal – in January, tying himself to Leeds until the end of the 2009-10 season.

The midfielder underwent a brief trial with Rotherham United last month, playing for the South Yorkshire club's second string in a 2-1 win over Bradford City, but a loan move to Don Valley Stadium failed to materialise and he has taken up a temporary switch to Garforth Town instead.

Town are third from bottom in the UniBond League's first division after a poor start to the season and Hotchkiss' arrival has strengthened their ranks ahead of an intense run of fixtures through September and October.

Hotchkiss is well known to Garforth boss Simon Clifford having emerged from Clifford's Brazilian Soccer Schools scheme, and United have agreed to expose the teenager to a spell in non-league football.
