Garforth Villa U-14s girls maintained their push for the Division Three title with a superb 8-0 win.

Villa started quickly and were soon in front from a strike from Rosie Frosdick.

A further five goals followed in the first half from Anna Ellington with clinical finishing, taking her seasons tally to 50 goals.

The second half brought an improved performance from Scissett with Aimee Routledge having to make two good saves to keep the home side scoreless.

Villa added anther two goals to their total with Rosie scoring her second and the hard working Ellie Rushforth adding the other.Only a brave performance from the Scissett keeper kept the score down as Villa created numerous chances.

The defence was superbly marshalled by Naomi Bramley and the whole team worked tirelessly on a difficult pitch.

Villa now have to win their remaining three games to clinch the league although they still have to face two of the top four teams to do so.

Player of the match was Anna Ellington for her tremendous finishing, closely followed by Rosie Frosdick whose skill and vision was a delight.
