Villa started a little slowly against a strong Silsden side and fell behind to a superb 20 yard drive that left Aimee Routledge with no chance.
Gradually Villa started creating chances with their neat passing game with good contributions on the wings from Holly Jordan and Sophie Naylor added to by the strikeforce of Anna Ellington and Chelsea Holmes gaining the upperhand with their markers.
Chelsea equalised and Villa went ahead with an own goal from a corner.Silsden equalised with another long distance ,well placed effort and the sides were level at half time.
The second half brought chance after chance for Villa with Bethany Jones,Anna, Chelsea, Ellie Rushworth and Rosie Frosdick all going close.Silsden always threatened on the break and the Villa defended very well with Jade Parkinson,Amy Poole,Naomi Bramley and Becky Durkin all outstanding. Keeper Aimee Routledge was called upon to make two smart saves.
Villa eventually got their reward with less than 15 minutes to go when a fine through ball from Bethany saw Anna race on to it and squeeze the ball in despite a heavy collision with the Silsden goalkeeper.
Player of the match Chelsea added the fourth with a couple of minutes to go to clinch victory which was reward for a tremendous team performance.
Villa must raise themselves for one final game on Saturday against a very good Ilkley side with the prospect of a victory leaving them in joint top and a play off for the title.
