Garforth Town enjoy Civic reception

Garforth Town enjoyed a civic reception after winning the West Riding County Cup.
Local Coucillor Mark Dobson celebrates alongside Garforth Town at Leeds Civic Hall after the team's victorious win in the final against Bradford Park Avenue.

Councillor Dobson met team manager Simon Clifford and members of the proud title-holders along with the Lord Mayor at the Civic Hall.

The team said that it was an honor to see their names inscribed on the prestigious West Riding Cup trophy alongside previous winners such as Leeds United and Bradford City.

Councillor Mark Dobson (Lab, Garforth & Swillington) said: "It was a fantastic achievement for Garforth Town to win the cup and my ward colleagues and I are delighted we will be able to house the cup at Leeds Civic Hall.

Garforth Town boss Simon Clifford added: "I wouldn't swap Garforth Town for Real Madrid and it is with great pleasure that we bring this historic trophy back to Leeds."
