New Earswick opened the scoring taking Garforth by surprise. Garforth tried their best to score but met stiff resistance, eventually a swift move from one side of the field to the other opened a gap for Jordan Hirst to score in the corner.

The Tigers then sat back and allowed New Earswick too much room, which they took full advantage of scoring twice. Garforth again showed their skill.

A patient build up followed by a jinking run by Joe Hardy allowing Ben Sherrard to power over and score again. New Earswick pressed and again found a gap in the Garforth defence to score before half time.

The Tigers finally bared their teeth coming out in the second half much more fired up. After some strong running from John Gibson the ball was played wide for Matty Law to run around the defence and score again.

Strong forward play put us 5m from their line, from the play of the ball Kyran Slinn straightened up and forced his way over. New Earswick were not done yet and came back strong scoring easily , Tigers defence in disarray.

Again the game swung the other way Garforth coming forward and a cross field kick found open space for Matty Law to latch onto the ball and sprint over the line. The All Blacks had the final say with the last try.

Tries: Matty Law, Ben Sherrard, Jordan Hirst, Kyran Slinn.
