Garforth Tigers U-13s finished the season on a high with only 13 players available to play, the pressure was on but the team stood up to be counted.

Solid in defence fast and direct in attack. Garforth's defence was tested early on but some strong challenges from John Gibson and Kyran Slinn slowed Selby.

Garforth then attacked down the left , great forward play was finished off by Kyran running from dummy half to crash over in the corner. This set the tone for the rest of the game.

Selby moving the ball around well but meeting a determined Garforth defense led by Robert Greenwood. Garforth then stepped up the pressure Ben Sherrard doing the hard yards supported by Joe Hardy and Ernie.

Ben scoring himself from close range. Joe Hardy then followed this with a jinking run through the middle scoring near the posts. Selby regrouped and came back strong but a small mistake allowed Garforth to regain possession and a swift move down the left giving Steven Howgate the chance to drive over for a try.

In the second half Garforth started to play with more flare, Callum Pepper moving the ball around for the forwards to drive forward giving us great field position from which we were able to move the ball wide giving Matty Law and Alex Hodby the chance to score.

All credit to Selby they never gave up and eventually they engineered a lovely move and scored out wide. But no sooner had they scored they made a mistake from the kick off which Garforth grabbed with both hands. Ben Sherrard scoring again.

Garforth swept forward again Kai picking up the ball and running hard and straight, quick ball then releasing Ernie who found a gap and charged through, more quick ball allowing Ben to put up a high ball which Kyran snatched from the defender then diving over the line. Joe Hardy finishing off with a superb conversion. The Tigers were in jubilant mood the result moving them back to second in the table. A terrific result for all their hard work.

Tries: Kyran Slinn, Joe Hardy, Steven Howgate, Alex Hodby, Ben Sherrard, Matty Law.

Conversions: Joe Hardy.
