Garforth Rangers U-14s have secured their second cup of the season – defeating local rivals Garforth Villa 2-0 in the Barkston Ash Deighton Shield at Selby Town.

Skipper Matthew Marshall gave Rangers a second-minute lead but his jaded side were then dominated, with keeper Ashley Battensby preserving Rangers' lead.

However, Rangers came out strong in the second half and netted the clincher when Rob Fothergill pounced.

Rangers will attempt to complete the treble this weekend when they take on Pannal Ash in the Garforth League Challenge Cup final.
