Garforth Rangers U-12s have had a disappointing season, by their standards, and were looking to end their campaign on a high note.

They took time to settle but when they did, they dominated for long stretches of the game and deservedly led 1-0 at the interval.

A stronger second half from Thorpe saw them equalise and the game
went into extra time without further scoring.

So after clearly looking the better side throughout Rangers found themselves in a nail-biting penalty shoot out which went all the way and the match was edged in sudden death.

Tense faces turned to smiling faces in a flash and the Garforth lads were ushered to the presentation area to receive the trophy.
