Garforth RUFC promoted to Yorkshire League Division 3

Garforth RUFC have been confirmed as receiving promotion to Yorkshire League Division 3 following a successful end to the 2008-09 season.

The promotion comes as a result of a league restructure and Garforth were able to been included in the mix for promotion following a eight game winning streak towards the end of last season.

Jon Fallas, of Garforth RUFC, said: "This is an amazing achievement for the Mighty Forth who 2 seasons ago secured promotion from Yorkshire 5 with a thrilling play-off victory over Sheffield Medics."

Garforth are looking to increase their playing numbers for both the 1st team and sociable 2nd team squads and anybody interested in joining the club can contact Jon on 07974 833516.

* Pre-season training starts Monday, June 15, at 7pm at Garforth Community College and continues every Monday and Wednesday evening throughout the summer and playing season.
