Garforth Arts Festival 2008: Home entertainment for residents

Garforth residents have the chance to enjoy a concert in their own home as part of this year's Arts Festival.
Gigs in Digs is a new feature of this year's Garforth Arts Festival where local people can experience the unique atmosphere of a house concert. The events could be music, comedy or literary.

You will need a space large enough to accommodate at least 25 people and you can choose who to invite.

There will be Gigs in Digs from June 24-29 and July 3 and 4. Donations should be given to the artist on the night.

Dave Evans of Garforth Arts Festival: "Do not fear that a crowd of strangers will pitch up in your house for you get to invite the audience.

"Giving friends & family the opportunity to experience the unique & intimate atmosphere of a house concert. The events could be music, comedy or literary.

"The opportunity is open to anyone living in Garforth. So what are you waiting for?

Mr Evans added: "To put yourself forward phone the festival office giving your details & we will look to have someone come round to see your space."
