Garforth Arts Festival 2008: Umdumo Wesizwe bring song and dance

Zimbabwean group Umdumo Wesizwe are to bring their acclaimed combination of acappella song and dynamic dance to the Garforth Arts Festival.
In keeping with the festival ethos of involving amateur groups with professional artists they will initially be visiting Garforth Community College where they will lead a masterclass session with the students.

The evening consists of a full performance from the group plus performances from students from Garforth Community College, Bramley Primary School & Brigshaw Language College.

There will also be performances from students from Durban South Africa, who will be visiting Garforth for the festival.

A spokesman for Garforth Arts Festival said: "This promises to be a life affirming performance by a group from one of the most turbulent regions in the world. An evening not to be missed."
