Gillian Dodsworth, headteacher at Micklefield C.E. Primary, told Kippax Today: "The new facilities will enhance our service of 'personalised learning' by offering an easily accessible, fun-filled and engaging curriculum. On the behalf of everyone involved at the school, I would like to thank Councillors Wakefield, Lewis and Parker along with Early Years service, for their help, support, and engagement with this project."

Councillor Keith Wakefield (Lab, Kippax & Methley) said: "We are delighted that this funding has finally been granted and it is a great credit to the determined efforts made by the school staff and governors. The money will be used to greatly improve the facilities and learning environment for the pupils of Micklefield C.E. Primary School."

Councillor James Lewis (Lab, Kippax & Methley) added: "It will be a massive boost to the school and will be of great benefit to the pupils. The new state of the art facilities that this money will create will significantly enhance the learning experience for the pupils in the years to come."
