From challenging trails and lesser-known routes to popular parks for gentle strolls with all the family, there's a walk for everyone in Leeds this Easter.

7. Otley Chevin

8. Horsforth Hall Park
Located just six miles from Leeds city centre, Horsforth Hall Park is ideal for a gentle stroll. There’s plenty of open parkland to cover and kids can be kept entertained by the various attractions, including an adventure playground, bowling green, cricket pitch and a Japanese formal garden. 9. Rothwell Country Park
Providing a peaceful spot away from the centre of Leeds, this 2.8 mile circular loop of Rothwell Country Park is a popular haunt among walkers and runners, and is well suited for families with little ones as it is relatively short and flat. Photo: National World
10. Trans Penine Trail
You can join the long-distance Trains Penine Trail route from Knowsthorpe Quay, just 10 minutes from Leeds Dock. The Garforth to Woodlesford section is a particularly scenic part of the trail, offering countryside views. Photo: National World
11. Gledhow Valley Woods
This slice of ancient woodland and grassland runs about 1.5km through north Leeds, following Gledhow Beck and leading around the medieval Gledhow Lake. Take in trickling waterfalls in this important conservation area. Photo: Simon Hulme
