In a second piece of late, but timely piece of roster strengthening, Chiefs’ player-coach Sam Zajac added Nottingham Panthers’ Jordan Kelsall on a two-way contract.
Like Robertson, Kelsall dressed to impress in the 4-1 defeat to Sheffield Steeldogs, with Zajac confident both will have a positive impact on the run-in over the next two months.

“He’s got great hands, he’s great skater and his offensive instincts are definitely there – he’s going to help us massively.”
Zajac has previously played with Kelsall during his brief stint with the Swindon Wildcats during the 2017-18 NIHL North One season, with the youngster clearly leaving a good impression.
“He’s a very good player, I played with him a couple of years back and you can tell that he’s played at that higher level.

“I didn’t realise he’d be available so he’s a huge addition for us, you don’t often get that kind of quality player become available so late in the deadline.”
