As Garry Monk’s side surged towards the Championship play-offs, second-placed Brighton were swept aside following a brace from Chris Wood.
Wood guided home a brilliant header from Charlie Taylor’s cross on the hour-mark before Souleymane Doukara won a penalty in the closing stage that the New Zealand international calmly converted.
Three points for Monk's men lifted them to fourth in the table in front of 29,767 at Elland Road.
Of course, a lot has changed since then – managers, players and league status, with both sides now proud members of the Premier League.
As a bit of nostalgia, the YEP has looked back on that 2-0 win for Leeds, four years ago, to find out where each player who featured for the Whites that day is now.
1. Rob Green
The 40-year-old announced his retirement in May 2019 after a 23-year career spanning three decades. He joined Huddersfield Town and Chelsea after departing Elland Road, though didn’t make an appearance for either. Photo: Gareth Copley
2. Gaetano Berardi
Berardi stuck around and played a key part in returning Leeds to the Premier League. A long-term knee injury at the back end of last season threatened to end his Elland Road career but the Whites extended his expiring contract by a further year. He is expected to return to the first-team fold in February. Photo: Clive Mason
3. Kyle Bartley
Bartley has been at West Bromwich Albion since moving to the Hawthorns in 2018. In that time, the 29-year-old has competed against his former club for promotion, with both going up automatically last season. Photo: Nathan Stirk
4. Liam Cooper
A lot has changed since this game but one thing that has remained the same is Cooper as Leeds captain and at the heart of the defence. Photo: Clive Mason
5. Charlie Taylor
The Leeds academy product departed Elland Road at the end of his contract and joined current club Burnley in July 2017. The Clarets paid the Whites around £6-7million in compensation to avoid a tribunal. Photo: PAUL ELLIS
6. Liam Bridcutt
The 31-year-old is currently sitting top of League One with Lincoln City having joined the Imps permanently last summer after his initial loan spell from Nottingham Forest was cut short due to Covid-19. Photo: Gareth Copley
