No fewer than four Leeds United players limped off the field of play during the Whites' memorable 3-2 victory over Wolves earlier this month.
Patrick Bamford, who was the first to fall at Molineux, faces a six-week spell on the sidelines with a plantar fascia rupture, a huge blow to the striker who has already spent large parts of this season in and out of the medical room.
Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper will both be available for contention against Southampton after the pair were both put out of action by hamstring issues suffered against Brentford in December.
Diego Llorente, who departed just before half time in the West Midlands with a back complaint, is fit to play, while Mateusz Klich has passed the necessary concussion protocols and returned to training.
Illan Meslier, who was forced off following a collision with Raul Jimenez, is not yet back in training but is expected to be ready for Saturday's clash.
Here, we take a look at those with injury worries ahead of the Southampton clash before Marsch gives a more definitive update later this week:
1. Junior Firpo - Knee
Firpo is recovering from grade two Medial Collateral Ligament damage after being stretchered off against Aston Villa last month. Marsch said that the full-back is making good progress back in training and so could be available for the Palace clash. Photo: George Wood
2. Patrick Bamford - Foot
The striker can't catch a break this season. He had just returned from a significant injury lay-off when he was forced off at Molineux, looking tearful as he faced another six weeks on the sidelines with a plantar fascia rupture. Bamford is expected to be ready for games against Brentford and Brighton and Hove Albion before the end of the season. Photo: Lindsey Parnaby
3. Adam Forshaw - Calf
Forshaw was left out of the Whites side that thrashed Watford 3-0 at Vicarage Road. Marsch revealed that the midfielder was suffering from a calf strain and that he was expected back in training this week, so it's likely he'll be in contention for the Selhurst Park visit. Photo: George Wood
4. Tyler Roberts - hamstring
Roberts has undergone surgery for a hamstring injury which forced him off at the King Power Stadium last month. There's not chance he will return before the end of this season but Marsch said that the striker's recovery is going well. Photo: Stu Forster
5. Jamie Shackleton - knock
Shackleton has been one of the Thorp Arch medical room's most frequent visitors this season. The midfielder picked up a knock during the Under 23s victory over Manchester United last month. Ahead of the Whites' Vicarage Road visit, Marsch revealed that Shackleton was approaching a return to training so it's possible the 22-year-old will be ready for Palace. Photo: Stu Forster
6. Leo Hjelde - knee
The youngster went under the knife for a knee problem but has made a successful return to match action last week. Hjelde should be available to Marsch for the Palace trip should the Whites boss need him. Photo: Marc Atkins
