Koch is part of the Germany squad for the Euros and bagged half an hour as a second half substitute in last Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Denmark.
But boss Joachim Low was able to welcome back his Chelsea and Manchester City players that were involved in the Champions League final for the Latvia friendly and Koch was an unused substitute as the hosts ran riot.

Hide AdDefensively, Germany lined up with a back three of Borussia Monchengladbach's Matthias Ginter, Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels and Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger behind a four-man midfield that featured Real Madrid's Toni Kroos and Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan in the middle of the park.
Low made the full permitted six substitutions as Chelsea's Timo Werner, Bayern's Leroy Sane, Freiburg's Christian Gunter, Bayern's Niklas Sule, Dortmund's Emre Can and Bayern's Jamal Musaila were all introduced in the second half.
But Koch was not called for as the Germans blitzed a poor Latvia outfit with strikes from Robin Gosens, Gundogan, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry, Werner and Leroy Sane in addition to an Robert Ozols own goal from a Kai Havertz cross.
Germany will begin their quest for glory at the Euros next Tuesday evening with their Group F opener against France.
