Following a busy summer, which saw money splashed on the likes of Rodrigo, Raphinha and Robin Koch, further incomings in January have always seemed unlikely.
The only business that has taken place so far is loan departures for Jordan Stevens, Ryan Edmondson and Robbie Gotts.
Yet Pulgar to Leeds is a transfer link that won’t go away. Well, not in the Italian media anyway.
The latest report, as per La Nazione via Sport Witness, claims the Whites are open to loaning Pulgar from Fiorentina “without a prefixed view to buy”.
However, the Serie A club would prefer to install a buyout clause into any proposed deal, just like they have done with Pol Lirola and Alfred Duncan at Marseille and Cagliari, respectively.
Competition is said to be high for the Chilean with Sassuolo, Cagliari, Torino and Lecce reportedly keen.
Meanwhile, The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon believes Wigan Athletic youngster Sean McGurk will eventually join Leeds, despite reported interest from Rangers.
Replying to a fan who asked “Leeds gone back in for McGurk yet Al?”, Nixon replied: “That will get done at some point. Either an improved bid now or in the summer.”
Asides from rumoured incomings, Real Oviedo sporting director Francesc Arnau has spoken out about Raja Mujica’s future.

Real Oviedo sporting director Francesc Arnau says it is up to Leeds whether to recall Raja Mujica, who has played just 50 minutes in total. “He has not counted for the coach and we are looking for a way out.
