Will Leeds United beat Luton Town? What the numbers say
The Whites have racked up two wins in a row after successive Elland Road victories, and will be looking to extend that run. How likely is that though, and what level of opposition should we expect? Find out below:
Luton Town's home form
If we're being honest, it isn't great. In the home form league table Luton Town sit in 21st place, having only taken eight points from their seven games at Kenilworth Road. They have scored 11 goals in their seven home games which is actually more than Leeds have scored at Elland Road, yet their defence has let them down - they have conceded 12 so far at a rate of almost two a game.

Hide AdAs you may have noticed, Leeds United's away form is looking rather good at this stage. The Whites have gathered 14 points from eight games on the road, very close to the magical two points a game that everyone in this league is striving towards. Boosted by Ben White's stunning form, Leeds' defence this season is exceptional, and they have only conceded five goals away from home so far. 12 goals scored is also up there with the best sides in the league - Leeds are far from ideal opponents nowadays.
Luton's style of play
The Hatters stormed League One with an attacking style, and they have stayed true to their passing philosophy in the second tier. This is admirable, but they are conceding a lot of goals. 30 goals conceded after 16 games is a worrying trend, and an area Leeds will hope to exploit.
Who to watch out for?
Only one man to pick here, a certain Izzy Brown. Remember him? Brown struggled to shake off injury problems whilst at Leeds last season but has had a good run in the team at Luton. He is undoubtedly a threat for the Hatters, and has an impressive five league assists already this season. Leeds will have to stay vigilant.
Head-to-head record
The two sides have met 47 times overall, and the record is fairly even. Leeds have 15 wins, Luton have 14 and there have been 18 draws.
