In their first game since the pause to the season due to coronavirus, Marcelo Bielsa's side knew that a victory would establish a ten-point cushion in the division's automatic promotion places and also send them back into top spot above West Brom.
Yet goals from Junior Hoilett and Robert Glatzel gave the Bluebirds a 2-0 victory.
1. Illan Meslier
7 Little chance with the goal, little else to do throughout.
2. Luke Ayling
6 Got forward often in the first half, appeared to be doing well enough in the second but was substituted.
3. Liam Cooper
5 Defended set-pieces well. Won't be happy with the easy route Hoilett had to goal and his pass was picked off for the second.
4. Ben White
6 Gave away a few free-kicks, like Cooper will be unhappy with the goal but otherwise solid.
5. Stuart Dallas
6 Got the better of Adomah far more often than not. Linked up well with the midfield, kept plugging away
6. Kalvin Phillips
