With just five points separating 3rd and 12th, results over the weekend and over the Christmas period really could prove crucial. Even clubs like QPR and Hull on 31 and 30 points, respectively, have a chance of rising up the table.
5. Nottingham Forest looking ahead to January
Sabri Lamouchis men were closing in on the top two before a run of four games without a win has seen Forest drop to as low as 8th. January comes at a good time, with Dwight Gayle, Che Adams and Glenn Murray all reported targets.
6. Bristol City assistant anticipates a complacent Owls
Sheff Weds 4-0 win at Forest hasnt feared the out of form Robins. Instead, assistant manager Jamie McAllister thinks it is a good time to play the Owls as they might be a bit complacent. Hang that up in the dressing room!
