Heavy snow forecast for Leeds on Monday morning in fresh freezing blast weather warning

The forecaster says heavy snow will hit the city from 6am on Monday morning and continue through 7am until about 8am.
The two hours of heavy snow could cause chaos on the roads, with ice already possible after a freezing Sunday night.

Hide AdThe Met Office says there is a 95% chance of heavy snow on Monday morning.
But the good news is that the snow is set to give way to drizzle and rain later in the day - so we're unlikely to be set for a full snow day unless the forecast becomes even colder in the next 24 hours.
Snow will give way to sleet at about 8am, before several hours of heavy rain sets in.
