Staff at Leeds digital agency travel 32,000 miles for charity challenge
This year, Leeds-based Engage Interactive employees have travelled over 16,000 miles through running, swimming, hiking, rowing and cycling for the second year of its unique ‘Elympics’.
The challenge encourages staff to take part in physical activities in aid of four causes: Catch, a Harehills community hub, ToastLoveCoffee, a pop-up community cafe, Lineham Farm, a rural break for disadvantaged children and Open Country, which helps disabled people access the countryside.

Alex Willcocks, owner at Engage, explains: “As a relatively small team, we’re really proud of our final total and it’s great to see the money raised making such a positive and measurable impact for the charities we support.
“To see the team transform since we started the Elympics has genuinely been so rewarding, from improved confidence, better sleep and concentration, to just a really upbeat energy and strong sense of teamwork in the office every single day. “We’re a busy agency, with over 30 clients depending on us to make sure they’re getting results to make their businesses grow.
“That can be quite pressured, so we really believe exercise and stepping away from screens has huge benefits on the productivity of our entire team.
