Hide AdOscar told the Yorkshire Evening Post the vouchers would have "just gone up the wall" if he had spent them.
Instead, he said: "I saw an opportunity to give to the less fortunate and I decided I wanted families with young children to have the vouchers.
"I had about 30 to 40 people message and I tried to filter the ones who had the youngest children and without being too nosey got a background of their situation."
Oscar's efforts were praised across social media.
On local forum Leedsplace, many families wrote to thank him for his amazing generosity.
