The field on Oldfield Lane, Wortley, has been officially closed since 2003 and faces an uncertain future, with plans to build 50 houses on the site well underway.
A handful of volunteers have spent months clearing overgrown grass and shrubbery to get it back to a playable standard for the charity fixture.

All proceeds raised will go towards a specialist wheelchair for eight-year-old Oliver Rooney.
Oliver, from Bramley, has an extremely rare chromosomal disorder and is in need of an all-terrain wheelchair so he can watch his four brothers play football and join them on adventures.
TV Harrison XI will take on Armley Christ Church FC at 2pm on Sunday.
