Incredible generosity of Gildersome community after woman's fears she would miss son's funeral
and live on Freeview channel 276
Anita Goodman posted an emotional post on a local Facebook forum today, fearing she may be forced to miss her son's funeral on Friday due to the horrific weather conditions.
Her son Troy Easton sadly died of oesophagus cancer aged just 48.

Hide AdHer post read: "I never ever ask for help but I am doing today.
"Tomorrow is my son's funeral and at the moment we can't get out.
"Have we a farmer on here who could clear the road for us?
"I will be devastated if we can't get there."
However, offers of help quickly flooded in and a man with a tractor has offered to save the day and get Anita to the funeral.
Anita, speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, said she wanted to thank the community.
She said: "The people of Gildersome have stepped up."
"I cannot thank the people enough.
"The offers came in abundance.
"A man is coming to help out with a tractor."
Anita said the response had been amazing.

Hide AdShe added: "It made me extremely emotional that people cared enough to help me get to my son's funeral.
"Amazing."
Mitchell Butterfield also offered to help clear Anita's driveway ready for the morning.
She said: "He's been out all day helping people.
"I want him to get a mention."
