Sue Patel, activity manager at the Grove and Red Court care homes in Pudsey, regularly sees the vehicle on her walks past Dixons of Pudsey garage.

"It created a lot of conversations, whether it was picking up rations for their parents, the parties in the streets or going to the dance halls.
"It's been difficult during lockdown as their families can't see them so it was a nice thing to do, and the 75th anniversary is a special year."
Later, residents had a tea party in the lounge and enjoyed singalongs to Vera Lynn and other wartime classics.
The Ferret was developed in 1949, but was similar to other light reconnaissance cars that were used during the Second World War.
