Happy Days as The Fonz starts filming CBBC show in town

The Happy Days actor has been at the town’s old Girl’s Grammar School, to film scenes for CBBC series Hank Zipzer.
Henry Winkler co-wrote the children’s book Hank Zipzer: The World’s Greatest Underachiever and stars in the TV adaptation as Mr Rock, Hank’s favourite teacher.

Hide AdAdam Ellis said on Twitter: “Saw The Fonz down Dewsbury today dressed as Santa. Standard.”
Craig Lightowler said on Facebook: “Met the Fonz in town today, he was filming a scene for his new show. I asked him how he was finding Dewsbury, he said everything has been great.”
The feature-length episode will be shown over the seasonal period and follows Hank as he prepares for Christmas and a new baby brother.

Henry Wrinkler’s novels follow the trials and tribulations of a young boy growing up with dyslexia. It is based on his own experiences with the learning difficulty.
