'The very next day you were back dealing': Harehills drug dealer caught selling cannabis twice in two days

Ithishamm Hussain was was arrested 24 hours after being released on bail after police seized a quantity of the class B drug from a house in Harehills.
Leeds Crown Court heard West Yorkshire Police officers went to the house on Compton Avenue on November 4 last year and a bag was thrown out of a window.

Hide AdHussain was arrested at the property after the bag was searched and found to contain 21 street deals of the cannabis.
The defendant's mobile phone was seized and it was found to contain text messages relating to drug dealing.
Hussain was released on bail but was seen seen acting suspiciously in an Audi A6 on the same street the next day.
Hussain was in possession of £225 in cash.
He was interviewed about the offending and told police he was selling the drug to pay off his own cannabis debt with dealers higher up the supply chain.

Hide AdStephen Welford, mitigating, said Hussain pleaded guilty to the offences at an early stage.
Mr Welford said Hussain committed the offences at a time when he was estranged from his family.
He now has their support and will return to live with his relatives upon release from custody.
Jailing Hussain, Judge Simon Batiste said: "You were arrested, interviewed and bailed and the very next day you were back dealing drugs.
"It is claimed that you are remorseful but I am sceptical about that given you were back dealing the next day."
