The West Yorkshire Police data, released to the Yorkshire Evening Post following a Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request, shows every crime recorded in Leeds from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020 that was not later cancelled. These are the 13 Leeds wards with the most recorded crimes during that period, listed in descending order. All images are for illustrative purposes and do not represent a specific incident or location.
1. Little London and Woodhouse (city centre)
There were 11,327 reports of crime in Little London and Woodhouse from April 2019 to March 2020. This ward includes the vast majority of Leeds city centre and the University area.
2. Hunslet and Riverside
There were 8,097 crimes recorded in Hunslet and Riverside from April 2019 to March 2020. This ward includes the south of Leeds city centre.
