It happened at a house in Bismarck Street, Beeston, at about 11.55pm on Thursday (April 8). Police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed. The victim, a 51-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. Police have cordoned off the house as detectives from the West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team launch a murder investigation. West Yorkshire Police have confirmed the victim and suspect were known to each other. A police spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Leeds. "At 11.53pm last night, police were called to a report of a man having been stabbed at an address in Bismarck Street, Beeston. "The victim, a 51-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance staff. "A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody. "A scene is in place at the address to undergo forensic examination. "The victim and suspect are known to each other.
