11-year-old Leeds girl dies after incident in Swarcliffe home

West Yorkshire Police were called to Stanks Drive shortly before 7am yesterday morning (Wednesday).
The girl was taken to hospital in a critical condition but was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.

Hide AdA man and woman who were arrested in connection with the incident were released on bail last night.
The girl's death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination is being arranged to try to find out more about what led to her death.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police are continuing to carry out enquiries following the unexplained death of an 11-year-old girl in Leeds.
"The girl was taken to hospital in a critical condition from an address in Stanks Drive, Swarcliffe, yesterday morning (25/11) and was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.
