Crazed burglar found 'covered in blood' holding a knife inside Leeds house
Gary Chadwick, 52, was jailed for two years, four months, over the break-in at the property in Headinlgey on December 13 last year.
Leeds Crown Court heard two men and a woman lived at the property on Winston Gardens.

Hide AdThe two men went out shortly before the incident, leaving the woman asleep in bed.
Louise Pryke, prosecuting, said Chadwick forced open a door and took a knife from the kitchen before going into the living room where he took a TV and a Playstation.
The two men returned home and found Chadwick covered in blood with injuries to his face.
Miss Pryke said Chadwick appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Hide AdThe two men closed the living room door and contacted police.
Chadwick then managed to open the door and lunged at the men with the weapon.
Chadwick, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and later told police he could not remember how he had received his injuries.
He pleaded guilty to burglary.
Chadwick has a long criminal history, including offences of burglary.

Hide AdThe court heard much of his offending had been carried out to fund his addiction to amphetamines.
Jailing Chadwick, The Recorder of Leeds, judge Peter Collier, QC, said: "The occupants came back and found you in a crazed state."
