Organisers this week announced that the Best Ever Christmas Show - due to tour venues across the UK during December - was scrapped. The decision was made because of the “unforeseen challenges” of organising a large show.
The Christmas production was pencilled in to visit the city’s First Direct Arena on December 28.

In a statement, organisers said: “Due to unforeseen challenges in launching a show of this scale at this time of year the producers have come to a decision to cancel this year’s performances.
“Unfortunately circumstances have dictated that we would be unable to run the event to a standard that would be befitting of the Best Ever Christmas performers and team and give the audience the unique Christmas experience that we envisioned.”
People who have bought ticket should be automatically refunded including their booking fee. Those who haven’t are advised to contact the place they purchased their tickets from to receive a refund.
