Bake Off stars set for Leeds's own Great British Food Festival
Chefs from the popular television show are set to descend on the stately home to mark the return of the Great British Food Festival.
Bake Off favourites Howard Middleton, Luis Troyano and Leeds’ own Sandy Docherty will be judging the Great British Cake Off as amateur bakers compete head-to-head in three baking categories.

Hide AdThey will also reveal their top baking tips on the new Cake and Bake stage including how to get the perfect biscuit snap and how to avoid the dreaded soggy bottom.
Luis, who was a finalist in the popular show, said: “I love doing the demos and the cake off is great fun. It’s brilliant to see what the public can do.”
Dan Maycock, festival director, said, “We’re thrilled to announce the great chefs at this year’s event.
“The new addition of the Cake and Bake stage is something we’re excited to see come to life.

Alongside the celebrity chefs, some of the best regional talent will be showcasing their skills from baking tips to fine dining know-how.
And local producers will be showcasing the best in seasonal and speciality food and drink at the festival.
North Yorkshire barbecue champion Tony Smith, who made the final of ITV’s BBQ Champ with Man vs Food’s Adam Richman, will be holding regular demonstrations throughout the event

Hide AdThe culinary celebration takes place this May bank holiday between May 28 and 30 from 10am and 5pm.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £6.50 for children and £30 for a family ticket.
