Award tastes good for TV chef Ken Hom in Leeds
The award made to Ken Hom OBE was at the close of the festival which has been spicing up Leeds and Bradford for the last fortnight with more than 50 different events.
Following ‘An Audience with Ken Hom’ at Leeds City College on Tuesday, Sir Gary Verity, the chairman of Welcome to Yorkshire made the presentation.

Hide AdTravelling from Rio, via Paris, to Yorkshire, Ken said: “It is a real privilege to be here at the World Curry Festival’s grand finale, to receive a lifetime achievement award by an organisation that prides itself on promoting Asian cuisine in the UK, and internationally.”
Growing up in poverty Ken became the world’s most celebrated TV chefs.
