Christmas market to be hosted at Leeds Heaney and Mill restaurant and bar throughout December
The Christmas market will take place on the restaurant’s terrace on Otley Road in Headingley.
It will sell takeaway food mirroring that of traditional Christmas markets, including schnitzels, burgers, bratwurst and churros.

Marketing manager of the restaurant and bar, James Quinn, said: “We had an idea to create a mini Christmas market as a way of utilising our terrace space outside, and then as soon as we were put into Tier 3 we thought ‘let’s go for it’.
“We’ve moved the kitchen outside and our test run was super busy so we’re looking forward to officially opening tomorrow (Tuesday) for the whole of December.
“We can kick and scream about not being able to open properly but there’s nothing we can do about it so we might as well do the best we can.”

The restaurant also delivered roasts and oven-ready three course dining menus each week to allow people to still feel the ‘restaurant feeling’ at home.
James added: “We all keep getting kicked back down everytime we get up so we’re constantly thinking about what we can do to diversify ourselves and to adapt and keep everyone here in a job.
“This way, we’re following the restrictions and by limiting the amount of customers on the terrace at one time, they can follow the restrictions and enjoy themselves too.”
The Christmas market will be open from 10am to 8pm every day throughout December.
