Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke presents award to Leeds Council

Leeds City Council was presented with a Skills for Care Accolade trophy by TV dance star Anton Du Beke at a ceremony in London.
The council scooped the ‘best employer support for registered managers’ award for its work to improve the skills and leadership of people who work in the social care sector.

Hide AdCoun Rebecca Charlwood, Leeds City Council's executive member for health, wellbeing and adults, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to win this award - there’s been a lot of work dedicated to improving the quality of care in the social care sector in Leeds both by the council’s organisational development teams and those managers and employees working across the care sector."
The award was open to over 20000 social care organisations and the win is a big achievement for the council.
Andy Tilden, Interim CEO for Skills for Care, said: "Leeds City Council is one of the very best of the best employers who are committed to developing the skills and knowledge of local workforces."
The council was also a finalist for the ‘Most innovative endorsed training provider’ category.
