With just under two weeks until December 25, people took to Briggate, Trinity Leeds and Victoria Gate to squeeze in some last minute shopping. Photographer Danny Lawson headed into the city centre:

'Non-essential' shops like clothing stores reopened on December 2 after the end of the second national lockdown.

Shoppers headed into Leeds city centre this weekend to squeeze in some last minute Christmas shopping.

Plenty of people began their Christmas shopping online during lockdown, but said they prefer to see certain items in person.

This year's shopping is a bit different due to Covid and there are extra safety measures in place such as mandatory face masks, hand sanitising stations and one-way systems.

There are also restrictions on the number of people allowed into shopping centres and shops at one time. For example, social media updates informing customers of the current capacity at White Rose and Trinity Leeds.
